1. The minutes of the meeting on 7th August were taken as read and approved.

2. The Service Advisers reported on the day's news, after which they left the meeting.

3. PRIME MINISTER'S JOURNEY.

The arrangements for the release of news about this were briefly reviewed. It was agreed that, as the Saturday announcement was to be released to the morning papers in America as well as in Britain, the B.B.C. should be allowed to broadcast the news from 00.30 on Saturday morning onwards.
