(2) Weekly Report prepared by Regional Administration Division and issued to Regional Officers. Summary of propaganda material available and points of particular interest to Regions.

(3) Reference Section mainly producing ad hoc reports as required by other sections. List of reports produced between June 1st and July 5th.

(4) Home Press Summaries Section

Daily and weekly Summaries and Memoranda as per attached file.

In addition this section now prepares:

Copies of Press Headlines in London and Provincial morning and London Evening Papers. All Home Intelligence Section.
A weekly summary of anti-government press opinion and a weekly note of questions which are worrying the public.
Fortnightly Summaries of London & Provincial Press opinion.

HOME

(1) Clip-Sheet . Issued by Mr. Stevenson's department, to about 1,200 weekly newspapers. Consists of paragraphs for insertion in papers. In addition ad hoc feature articles are issued.

(2) Talking Points . Prepared in Foreign Division and issued weekly by Commercial Relations Division, and used by Empire and Foreign Divisions. Circulation at home under discussion. About 2,600 sent out.

(3) Neptune. Issued about once a month by Commercial Relations Division. About 70,000 originally sent out. Also sent out by Foreign Division.

(4) Notes for Speakers. Issued from time to time as required.

EMPIRE

(1) Weekly Commentary . Prepared by Prof. Harlow and approved by Lord Perth. About 250 copies sent out regularly to Colonial Governors, U.K. High Commissioners in Dominions, Govt. of India, Selected British Attachés in foreign countries.

(2) Empire Press Notes. Issued weekly to Imperial and Colonial Press, and to Press Correspondents in London and to High Commissioners. About l60/175 sent out by Empire Division.

(3) What the War News Means. Issued weekly by Colonial & Empire Section. About 200 sent out by Empire Division to Newspaper Correspondents in London. High Commissioners and Minister of Information.

(4) Matters of Fact . Issued periodically about once a fortnight by Empire Division from material prepared by Reference Section. Also many feature art ides.

India

War letter cabled by Sir George Duff-Sutherland-Dunbar.

Cabled to Information Officer, Govt. of India.

FOREIGN

Empax Telegrams. Sent daily to Press Attachés in countries which are interested in specific matter, also to News agencies, Foreign Correspondents, British Officials in Foreign countries and government departments. About 20 are circulated in building.

RELIGIOUS

(1) HOME BULLETIN. On Spiritual issues of war. About 850 sent weekly to important people in Church and Church papers.

(2) Protestant Bulletin for neutral countries about 900 sent weekly. Important and ecclesiastical people, Church papers and Press Attachés.

(3) English Catholic Newsletter (and issued by Colonial Department). Important and ecclesiastical people Church papers and Press Attachés, 6,200 weekly. Also printed in Spanish 4,000 fortnightly and typed German edition 1,000 fortnightly.

(4) English Church Newsletter for Orthodox Church. 1,000 sent monthly, as above.

(5) Catholic Bulletin of Foreign News. About 1,000 weekly, as above.
