Canadian Transmitter. [12th September]

The B.B.C. now submit that rather than have any segregated portion of time allotted to them for the proposed Canadian transmitter, they should endeavour to negotiate with the Canadian Government for a co-operative programme covering the 24 hours of the day, including not only broadcasts in English but broadcasts in other languages, thus providing a service parallel to that which is now radiated from Daventry. It is thought that a four transmitter station should now be put into full service. This would be of considerable value and should be staffed and organised to be continuously in operation as quickly as possible.

This, therefore, varies the minimum requirements of the B.B.C. It would be for the Canadian Government simply to determine the minimum share of the cost which the B.B.C. should bear in the provision of complete programmes on the four transmitter station suggested.
