1. REPORTS FROM THE SERVICE ADVISERS

2. USE OF FRONT HALL FOR EXHIBITIONS, ETC.

It was agreed that the Front Hall should not, without the concurrence of the D.D.G., be used for exhibitions or other purposes which involved substantial alteration.

The D.D.G. explained that the tank exhibition had been set up urgently for inspection by visitors the following day and would be removed as soon as the inspection was over.

3. INTERNATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL

It was confirmed that despite the ruling issued by the Lord President, there was no objection to the Ministry having an observer to watch the foreign activities of the Council. It seemed unlikely that there could be objection to the proposal, conveyed to the Ministry by the India Office, from the Government of India that the Council should address a message to the All-India Students Federation but it was thought advisable to draw the attention of the India Office to the Lord President's ruling before sending the message. If necessary, Lord Swinton could be approached directly by the Ministry.
