1. REPORTS FROM THE SERVICE ADVISERS.

2. BRITISH INFORMATION SERVICES IN U.S.A.

It was agreed that to any enquiries arising out of Reuters’ report that the U.S.A. had asked for closing of this organisation, the reply should be that no such official request had been received.

3. RELIGIOUS PLAYS BY THE B.B.C.

Mr. Ogilvie reported that the B.B.C. Religious Advisory Committee had unanimously recommended the continuation of these plays and that this recommendation would now be considered by the Governors.

4. INCOME TAX PUBLICITY.

Mr. Royds reported that it had now been agreed that the Press Conference should coincide with the issue of the booklet. The Chancellor insisted however, that the booklet should be issued free. D.G. to speak to the Minister.
