In the course of a recent meeting with the Minister, and in a subsequent note, Mrs. Hamilton produced arguments urging that it was necessary to define what this country is fighting for more clearly. If we take the line that we are fighting to release the German people from their rulers, it appears wrong to direct propaganda to stirring up hatred. This appears to raise once more the question of co-ordinating our aims with the French.
