2. CONFERENCE OF WOMEN

The Chairman read a letter from the Ministry of Labour inviting members of the Ministry to attend the forthcoming Conference of 5,000 women at the Albert Hall. The Conference will be addressed by Ministers. The Deputy Director General was asked to distribute the tickets; and the Chairman undertook to discover what arrangements, if any, were being made for reporting the meeting.

3. 5TH ARMY

Mr. Kirkpatrick raised the question of the composition of the 5th Army, pointing out that some reports might have led to misunderstandings. It was agreed that Brigadier Neville should make it clear at the Press Conference that the Army is equally British and American.

4. FILMS FOR NORTH AFRICA

Mr. Gates reported that a request for Russian feature films had been received from Allied Force Headquarters in North Africa. The Board agreed that the Soviet Film Agency should be asked to produce French versions of Russian films; and that the Ministry should act as agents only, on the lines previously adopted in this area.
