1. The minutes of the meeting on 25th August were taken as read and approved. It was reported that the interference with Deutschlandsender came from Russia.

2. The Service Advisers and Mr. Nash reported on the day's news and the left the meeting. The D.G. promised to bring to the notice of the Minister the views of the War Office and Foreign Office that continued publicity should not be given to resistance by British and Australian forces in Crete, since this might bring about more energetic action by the Germans than they had hitherto taken.

3. SIR KENNETH CLARK

The D.G. said he was writing that day with the Minister's authority to Sir Kenneth Clark.

4. CORRESPONDENTS FOR MOSCOW CONFERENCE (See minutes of meeting on 22.8.41)

The D.G. promised to enquire about the possibility of sending diplomatic correspondents to Moscow.

5. INTER-ALLIED CONFERENCE

Mr. Francis Williams intimated that this conference had been postponed for a week or a fortnight.
