1. REPORTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS.

2. RADIOLOCATION .

[CN. 456.]

Mr. Cruikshank reported that some difficulties had been, created over the censorship of radiolocation. He pointed out that there is a considerable advertising campaign in the United States in which radiolocation is constantly claimed as an American invention. An article had been prepared by Sir Robert Watson-Watt, the British inventor of radiolocation, which it was desirable to use to counteract this American claim; but the Ministry of Aircraft Production had refused to release it because of the most recent stop from the Censorship Department. Mr. Francis Williams said that this stop was issued because the Americans had complained that our censorship of radiolocation news was less rigorous than theirs. But it seemed that the American censorship had not been applied to advertising. Mr. Cruikshank and Mr. Williams were invited to consider what action could be taken to clear up this situation.
