The Board discussed and confirmed a proposal that when the next General Election was held the arranging of public and factory meetings by the Ministry should be suspended for a period of 30 days preceding polling day. The Ministry would also suspend the supply of speakers to voluntary societies during the 17 days preceding polling day.
