1. REPOSTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS .

2. CHANCELL0R'S HALL.

[A/8/7/7.]

The D.D.G. reported that the University of London had requested the use of Chancellor's Hall for a series of courses for Allied troops in this country, but that no details had yet been received. It was agreed in principle that the proposal should be sympathetically considered when more particulars became available, but that arrangements should not be made at the expense of the Ministry's regular fixtures.

3. BEVERIDGE REPORT IN THE MIDDLE EAST .

[FP/54/111]

Mr. Grubb reported that telegrams had been received from the Middle East Bureau requesting permission to distribute the A.B.C.A. summary of the Beveridge Report. He recalled that the Bureau had for some time been circulating the Ministry's own summary. The War Office were objecting to this further request on the grounds that G.H.Q. Middle East had withheld approval. It was agreed that dissemination of the A.B.C.A. summary was a matter for the military authorities and that the Ministry should not intervene.
