1. REPORTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS.

2. CARRY-OVER OF LEAVE.

[A/345]

The D.D.G. reported that Establishments have received a number of requests for leave to be carried over after the end of the current leave year on 30th April. Under existing rules, no carry-over is permitted, but it was agreed that in view of the exceptional amount of sickness during the winter, the carry-over should be worked off within 6 weeks of 30th April, but that no individual should be entitled to take more than one week in respect of arrears.

3. REQUEST FOR REPRINT OF THE QUEEN'S BROADCAST.

[GP/39/545.]

Mr. Royds reported a request contained in a letter from Mrs. Tennant to Mrs. Churchill for the Queen's broadcast printed in pamphlet form. It was agreed that the request should be turned down on the grounds that such requests were multitudinous and were only granted in cases of lasting and permanent quality.
