1. REPORTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS .

2. ESCAPES FROM JAPANESE .

[B/331/2.]

The Parliamentary Secretary suggested that the “horrific” broadcast last night by a man who had escaped from the Japanese conflicted with the policy of not alarming relatives of prisoners. Mr. Francis Williams said that the broadcast appeared to conflict also with guidance given to the Press. The Chairman asked Mr. Ryan to discuss the matter with the B.B.C. official responsible for the broadcast.
