1. REPORTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS.

2. MR. JEROME WEIDMANN .

[FP/40/79/55]

Mr. Grubb reported that Mr. Jerome Weidmann, who was understood to be an O.W.I. Liaison Officer with S.O.E. in New York, had, on instructions from Mr. Sidney Morel, made application to the Ministry for copies of a wide selection of directives, plans and other similar documents. Mr. Grubb, who felt this approach to be distinctly irregular, asked for guidance whether the request should be complied with. The Chairman directed that no action should be taken until Mr. Weidmann was properly recommended to the Ministry both by P.W.E. and by the Director of O.W.I. London, and invited Mr. Grubb to write to Mr. Wallace Carroll accordingly.
