Lt. Col. Treadwell said that the D.P.R., War Office, had asked if a broadcast could be arranged to damp down rumours in this country of Second Front activities. The Director General agreed to discuss the subject with Mr. W.J. Haley, Editor-in-Chief of the B.B.C.
