1. REPORTS FROM SERVICE ADVISERS .

2. PROVINCIAL NEWSPAPER FILM.

[F./26]

Mr. Gates reported that a letter had been received from the President of the Newspaper Society asking if the Ministry could “issue” a documentary film showing the important part played by the provincial Press in the life of the country. It was not clear, he said, whether the Society wanted this Ministry to make the film. The Chairman declared that the subject might be suitable as a study of wartime activity. It was agreed that the Minister should be asked to receive representatives of the Society to discuss the proposal with them.
