1. The minutes of the meeting on 26th August were taken as read and approved.

2. The Service Advisers and Mr. Ridsdale and Mr. McIver reported on the day's news and then left the meeting. Colonel Heywood promised to find out if he could what news and photographic staff had been attached to the forces operating in Iran.

3. CORRESPONDENTS FOR MOSCOW CONFERENCE

Mr. Gates reported that the Minister was not keen to press the demand for diplomatic correspondents to be present at the Conference.
