Mr. Grubb raised for discussion a proposal that Mr. Cecil Beaton be sent to China to take photographs for the Ministry. He said that this was supported by the Empire Division who suggested that more adequate and up-to-date photographs might be obtained also in India. The Board accepted the proposal, but it was agreed that any contract should have safeguards against published references by Mr. Beaton to the Ministry.
