Major Lloyd George's warning of a gas and electricity restriction was discussed. The Chairman declared that, if the situation was as bad as it seemed, only exceptional measures would produce any result at all this year and he suggested consideration of a special appeal through the B.B.C. Mr. Royds undertook to investigate the position.
