1. Far Eastern Exhibition

[DE/1/23/1]

In view of the ban on Government building and public feeling on the problem of accommodation, it was felt that work on the Far Eastern Exhibition in Oxford Street should be postponed till a later date.

2. Paris Exhibition

[DE/65/1]

A proposal had been received for a joint Anglo-American Exhibition with O.W.I. in Paris. As conditions in Paris would probably have improved by the time such an Exhibition could be assembled it was decided that the Ministry should participate. Proposals for separate Exhibitions by two of the Service Departments were also reported. It was felt that an attempt should be made to co-ordinate these and bring them under the umbrella of the joint Anglo-American scheme.

3. Visit of members of the F.F.I.

[FP/501/25/2]

A proposal had been received through the Foreign Office that the Ministry should make arrangements for entertaining 200 members of the F.F.I. in mid-October. It was felt that the presence of so large a party would create many difficulties and that the proposal should be scaled down to an initial visit by a party of about 25.
