1. . REPORT FROM SERVICE ADVISERS.

2. ANGLO-SOVIET PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSCCIATION . (See minutes of January 14th).

[HP/874/20.]

The D.D.G. reported continued difficulty in finding a suitable candidate for the secretaryship of this body. The Chairman directed that the Association be therefore invited to make its own selection, subject to consultation with the Ministry.

3. RED ARMY DAY. (See minutes of January 18th).

[HP/998]

Mr. Gates suggested that a formal announcement of this celebration should be made as soon as possible in order to anticipate other unofficial arrangements. The Chairman undertook to see that the necessary Cabinet approval of the Ministry's plans should be obtained without delay, after which the desired announcement could be made.

4. TRIPOLI. In connection with proposed broadcast to follow the expected capture of Tripoli, the Board discussed whether the fall of the town itself should be regarded for propaganda purposes as the end of the campaign or whether its formal conclusion must be held to await the complete clearance of Tripolitania of enemy troops. With Brigadier Neville's concurrence, it was agreed that the former line should be followed.
