An analysis was made of the price paid for the garment worn at the time of interview. Those not wearing a garment were asked to give the price of a garment they had in reserve.
A word of caution should be given that the ‘total’ figures in the succeeding tables are for guide lines only, no percentages have been worked out on these totals for this reason. Only a weighted figure taking into account the incidence of types worn and the respective sizes of the occupation groups would give a complete price range.
