Wastage
Housewives were given a bag at the first visit of the interviewer, and were asked to keep all waste which occurred before the vegetables were cooked. This waste bag was weighed at the end of the week. It was found that the waste was on an average 20. 2%. This figure does not change for any of the sub-groups.
