A History of the Ministry of Information, 1939-46

Summary

  1. (1) There was an increase in the proportion of children immunised in both the good and the bad areas between 1942 and 1945, and this increase was particularly marked in the bad areas.

  2. (2) The later inquiry showed that more children than before were immunised in their first and second years, particularly in the bad areas. The proportion of young children who are immunised is however still lower in the bad than in the good areas.

  3. (3) There appears to be a very slight increase in the proportion of immunisations that are completed.

  4. (4) There has been an increase in the proportion of mothers knowing about immunisation in both types of area.
