Quite a number of people found difficulty in buying on credit, and the D. group more so than the C. group.

The inability to buy on credit was not very serious for articles which belong to the clothing group. 79.5% who could not buy on credit wanted furniture, wireless etc. That is true for all the groups concerned.

The main reason for ceasing to buy on credit is that the article which was bought in this form was paid for. The frequency with which other reasons are mentioned is small - “Can’t afford to pay cash now”, “could not get the goods wanted” occur most often.
