2. DAILY WORKER CORRESPONDENT AND N. IRELAND .

[A/571/938]

Mr. Gates asked for guidance on an application for the Ministry's support in securing facilities for a visit to Northern Ireland by Mr. J.R. Campbell, who wished (l) to write a series of articles on war production for “The Daily Worker”, and (2) to address a public meeting. The Chairman ruled that, since no public advantage was likely to be derived from these proposed activities, positive support should be withheld.
