Mr. Cruikshank reported that a request had been received from Washington asking for material to rebut critical statements by the five world touring Senators. After discussion, the Director General invited Mr. Cruikshank to prepare a paper for urgent consideration by the Cabinet; analysing what has appeared of the Senators’ charges against this country; stating what is known in the way of rebuttal material; and asking for guidance on the method of issuing this material.
