British Books in France

[LE/107/29]

Mr. Grubb gave an account of the schemes existing for selling British books in France. One of these schemes, a non-official and commercial one of Messrs. W.H. Smith's, could be realised if the Ministry took responsibility for asking Transport Command to provide the air-lift. It was ruled that it was in the interests of British publicity that this should be done.
