Distribution of the Main Types of Supporting Garments
Two main questions were asked in order to ascertain the total supply of supporting garments in the possession of the women interviewed.
-
1. “What type of supporting garment do you wear?” This was interpreted as the garment worn at the time of interview.
-
2. “Do you keep in use more than one such garment at a time?” This gave all other garments possessed.
Detailed figures for each occupation group are given in the following pages. The total number of the various types of garments possessed are given
